What you'll do:
As an Accountant on this three-month contract, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the finance function of a leading private equity real estate investment firm.
- Prepare quarterly fund-level investor reporting schedules and consolidation working files to ensure accurate and timely financial information is available for stakeholders.
- Assist with the review of financial reporting packs and monthly loan schedules, maintaining meticulous attention to detail in all documentation.
- Update various monthly and quarterly capital schedules to reflect current positions and support effective decision-making processes.
- Draft capital call, return, and distribution notices as required by the finance team to facilitate smooth investor communications.
- Support annual audit matters by checking audited financial statements and responding promptly to audit requests from external parties.
- Assist in taxation matters as needed, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and providing necessary documentation.
- Handle cash-related tasks including preparation of payment instructions and monitoring of cash positions to maintain optimal liquidity levels.
- Provide assistance with bank administration such as preparing account opening forms and managing loan drawdown or rollover notices.
- Support corporate secretarial functions by preparing or reviewing board resolutions, annual returns, and updating master registers as required.
- Undertake ad-hoc assignments as directed by the Finance Director or other senior team members to address evolving business needs.
What you bring:
To excel as an Accountant in this contract role, you will bring proven experience from similar positions where you have managed complex financial reporting cycles, supported audit processes, handled cash management tasks, and contributed positively within diverse teams.
- A minimum of six years’ relevant accounting experience within finance or accountancy roles is essential for this position.
- Possession of at least a Diploma in Accountancy or Finance demonstrates your foundational knowledge in core accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required so you can efficiently manage complex data sets and produce clear reports.
- Experience working within the real estate or private equity funds industry would be advantageous for understanding sector-specific requirements.
- Excellent communication skills enable you to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels as well as external partners when necessary.
- A keen eye for detail ensures accuracy in all financial documentation and reporting responsibilities entrusted to you.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively within a team environment is highly valued here.
