What you'll do:

As a Finance Manager based in Singapore, you will play an integral role in upholding the integrity of the organisation’s financial systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around maintaining accurate general ledger records through diligent transaction recording and reconciliation activities. You will be instrumental in preparing comprehensive management reports that inform strategic decision-making at all levels. By supporting both month-end and year-end closing cycles with precision and care, you will help ensure that all financial information is reported correctly. • Maintain and update the general ledger by ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and promptly to support reliable financial data.
• Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments as part of routine accounting operations.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy of all financial records.
• Investigate discrepancies in the general ledger by collaborating with relevant teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Assist in preparing management and statutory financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for internal and external stakeholders.
• Generate detailed financial reports for management review and audit purposes while providing insightful analysis on key trends.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing closing entries, reviewing adjustments, and ensuring timely completion of all tasks.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, IFRS standards, tax regulations, and assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Identify areas for process improvement within financial reporting and general ledger maintenance; participate in developing new accounting policies and procedures.

What you bring:

To excel as a Finance Manager in this organisation, you will bring proven experience managing general ledger functions within a structured finance environment. Your background should include hands-on involvement with account reconciliations as well as preparation of statutory reports under IFRS or similar frameworks. Familiarity with SAP systems is essential for navigating daily tasks efficiently while advanced Excel capabilities allow you to analyse large datasets quickly.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field demonstrating foundational knowledge of core principles.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting or similar roles showcasing your ability to manage complex financial data.
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification or equivalent
• Proficiency in SAP accounting software along with advanced Excel skills enabling efficient data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical abilities paired with problem-solving skills allowing you to investigate discrepancies thoroughly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills facilitating clear interactions with both internal teams and external auditors.
