Associate Finance Director - contract

A reputable organisation in Singapore is seeking an Associate Finance Director to support the Finance Director in leading the finance function and contributing to strategic decision-making. What you'll do:

As Associate Finance Director, you will play an integral part in supporting the Finance Director while taking ownership of day-to-day operations within the finance department.

• Partner with the Finance Director to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with long-term business goals.

• Oversee daily finance operations including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.

• Deliver clear, data-driven financial analysis and performance reporting to guide senior leadership decisions.

• Lead investment-related analysis to support growth initiatives and capital allocation decisions.

• Collaborate with business units to develop budgets and forecasts that align with regulatory standards and company strategy.

• Provide strategic financial insights to operational teams to optimise performance and profitability.

• Identify financial risks and implement control measures to safeguard the organisation’s assets.

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and policies.

• Mentor and guide the finance team, promoting professional development and a culture of excellence.

• Prepare detailed financial reports for internal and external stakeholders including auditors, investors, and senior executives.

What you bring:

To excel as Associate Finance Director, you will bring extensive experience gained from senior finance roles where you have demonstrated both technical proficiency and emotional intelligence.

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or MBA is highly desirable.

• Minimum of 9 years of progressive finance experience with a focus on strategic finance business partnering.

• Strong technical expertise in financial reporting, planning, and compliance.

• Proven ability to manage finance operations and lead teams effectively.

• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a track record of influencing stakeholders across various levels.

• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally to achieve business goals.
