An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Executive to join a well-established organisation in Singapore, offering you the chance to play a pivotal role in supporting both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, values accuracy, and enjoys working with diverse teams across regions.

  • Join a reputable organisation with a strong presence in Singapore, where your attention to detail and interpersonal skills will be highly valued as you support both local and regional finance activities.
  • Benefit from flexible working opportunities and access to continuous training, ensuring you stay up-to-date with the latest industry practices and technologies such as SAP and Netsuite.
  • Work closely with knowledgeable colleagues in both Singapore and India, fostering a culture of collaboration, support, and shared success within an inclusive finance team.

What you'll do:

As an Accounts Executive, you will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth operation of both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions within the finance department. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close coordination with regional teams—particularly the shared service centre in India—to guarantee that all transactional activities are completed efficiently. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate vendor and customer records in SAP and Netsuite systems, processing payments, managing queries from various stakeholders, preparing key financial schedules for month-end closings, supporting audit processes, and contributing to compliance initiatives.

  • Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable processes including vendor account maintenance, invoice coding, payment processing, and handling queries from vendors and employees regarding payments and claims.
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable activities by issuing invoices and credit notes, tracking incoming receipts, maintaining customer data, arranging cheque deposits, and resolving receipt-related queries with banks.
  • Coordinate with the shared service centre in India for Procure-to-Pay (PTP) and Order-to-Cash (OTC) activities to ensure timely and accurate completion of all assigned tasks.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing balance sheet reconciliations, cashflow analyses, expense accruals postings, and assisting with audit queries.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control objectives as well as local GAAP requirements and company financial policies through diligent process management.
  • Supervise the Accounting Services shared service team in India by providing guidance on queries related to accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Prepare documentation for quarterly GST filings by liaising with forwarders for import permits and support implementation of internal control projects as required.

What you bring:

To excel as an Accounts Executive in this role, you will bring proven experience from previous positions where you have managed accounts payable processes within a structured finance environment. Your background should include familiarity with major accounting software platforms like SAP or Netsuite along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Your strong communication skills enable you to build positive relationships not only within your immediate team but also across departments and international offices. Experience collaborating with shared service centres will allow you to navigate cross-functional workflows efficiently.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant accounting certification demonstrating your foundational knowledge of core financial principles.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in an accounting role with hands-on exposure to Accounts Payable processes; basic understanding of Accounts Receivable is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Netsuite accounting systems enabling you to navigate complex financial data efficiently.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel for effective data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills allowing you to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues from different backgrounds and locations.
  • Familiarity with intercompany transactions and reconciliations is considered beneficial for managing multi-entity operations effectively.
  • A dependable team player who can also work independently when required, showing initiative while remaining supportive of group objectives.
