APAC Desktop Support Engineer (1-Year Contract, Central)

A US leading global organisation is seeking Desktop Support Engineer to join their collaborative team in Singapore. This opportunity offers you the chance to provide essential IT support to both local and remote users in APAC region, ensuring seamless operations across a diverse technology landscape. You will be empowered to resolve hardware and software issues efficiently, contribute to technology refresh initiatives, and play an integral part in maintaining robust IT security standards.

What You'll Do

• Provide comprehensive IT support to both local and remote users by resolving hardware and software complications promptly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance activities on computing devices, servers, network apparatus, and virtual environments to maintain optimal system performance.
• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade end-user computing devices including desktops, laptops, servers, network equipment, operating systems, and application software as required.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders during the implementation and maintenance of IT systems to ensure smooth project delivery and ongoing operational excellence.
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets by tracking inventory changes and participating actively in technology refresh projects.
• Ensure the implementation of IT security systems that align with corporate policies and guidelines to safeguard organisational data and resources.

What You Need

• At least 2 years' experience in hands-on L2 desktop support
• Hands on experience in Windows and MacOS, Apple/Android/Windows Devices
• Hands on experience in Windows 10/11 Operating Systems, Office365 and Active Directory
• Exposures to Cisco networking equipment will be an added advantage
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to communicate with local and regional end-users as well as counterparts in other countries
• Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent
