Front Office Application Support Specialist

Our client is a leading international financial institution with a strong presence in global markets across multiple asset classes. The Singapore office plays a key role in supporting the Asia trading desks and ensuring the smooth operation of the bank’s electronic trading platforms (eMarkets / eTrading) across FX, Money Markets and Rates.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1.5 and Level 2 application support for front-office electronic trading platforms (eMarkets / eTrading) used by FX, MM and Rates trading and sales.
  • Manage and maintain connectivity to market venues, liquidity providers and client channels (e.g. Refinitiv, FXall, 360T, Bloomberg, EBS), ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
  • Perform platform configuration, release support and troubleshooting in coordination with development teams and external vendors.
  • Partner closely with traders, sales, eTrading, and middle/back office to address production issues, implement changes and support delivery of new functionality.
  • Monitor system performance and trade flows, proactively identify potential issues, and maintain operational readiness through well-documented procedures, dashboards and runbooks.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in application support for front-office trading systems (eFX / eMarkets / eTrading) within capital markets.
  • Familiarity with market venue and liquidity provider connectivity (e.g. Refinitiv FX Trading / Matching / FXall, 360T, Bloomberg, EBS, other ECNs/MDPs).
  • Strong technical skills in Linux/Unix, SQL and scripting (Python / Shell); knowledge of FIX protocol and messaging (MQ/Kafka) is preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues under time pressure, including order/trade breaks, pricing anomalies and connectivity problems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage front-office users and explain technical issues and workarounds clearly.
  • Experience working in an international financial institution, vendor, or market technology provider is beneficial.
