Data Centre Engineer

Our client is a leading firm, looking for a Data Centre Engineer to join their team in Singapore.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct routine inspections, operational testing, and diagnostic evaluations to ensure all mechanical, electrical, and environmental control systems are functioning efficiently within the data center.
• Oversee the monitoring and performance of building systems, including power distribution units (PDUs), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), HVAC systems, BMS, emergency generators, fire suppression systems, and lift/fire safety infrastructure.
• Execute and document preventive and corrective maintenance activities to uphold high standards of reliability and uptime in a mission-critical environment.
• Respond to alerts and anomalies by analyzing equipment data and logs, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with vendors or internal teams for swift resolution.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, operational protocols, and industry standards for high-availability facilities.
• Participate in capacity planning, system upgrades, and infrastructure improvements to support current and future operational demands.
• Collaborate closely with IT, facilities, and security teams to manage integrated building operations effectively and maintain optimal conditions for critical IT equipment.
• Utilize building management systems (BMS) and data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools to monitor real-time metrics and proactively manage system performance.

What you'll bring:

• Diploma or degree in Engineering with hands-on experience in electrical and/or mechanical systems.
• At least 4 years of experience in maintaining critical infrastructure such as UPS, HVAC, generators, and safety systems in high-availability environments.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills with the ability to operate across disciplines.
• Effective communicator with a customer-focused mindset and the ability to handle complex or sensitive issues professionally.
