Datacentre IT Technician- contract

We’re looking for a Datacenter Technician to support the operations of our IT infrastructure. In this role, you’ll be responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, and decommissioning hardware, ensuring everything runs smoothly with strict adherence to safety and deployment protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform startups, shutdowns, and system checks on servers, racks, and network equipment

• Troubleshoot hardware issues and replace faulty components

• Follow standard procedures for decommissioning and hardware refreshes

• Report incidents and escalate when necessary

Requirements:

• 1+ year of experience supporting IT equipment or related tech

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and servers

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

• Flexible to work outside standard hours and overtime if needed

• Previous datacenter experience is a plus!
