What you'll do:

As an IT Support Specialist (Contract), your primary role will involve offering comprehensive IT support to both local and remote users. You'll be tasked with resolving hardware and software complications efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Your responsibilities will also include performing routine preventive maintenance activities, installing and upgrading various IT equipment and software, as well as cooperating with different stakeholders during system implementation and maintenance. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining IT assets and participating in technology refresh projects. Ensuring the implementation of IT security systems that align with corporate policies will also fall under your purview.

  • Offer IT support to local and remote users to resolve hardware and software complications
  • Perform and manage routine preventive maintenance and operational tasks promptly and effectively
  • Install, configure, maintain and upgrade end-user computing devices, servers, network apparatus, virtual environments, operating systems and application software
  • Cooperate with various stakeholders during the implementation and maintenance of a system
  • Maintain IT assets, participate in technology refresh projects
  • Ensure the Implementation of IT security systems aligned with corporate IT policies and guidelines

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this IT Support Specialist (Contract) position brings along a minimum of two years' experience in IT desktop support and end-user support. A diploma or degree in information technology or a related field is required. You should have technical experience in IT system support and maintenance. Experience with supporting Windows and MacOS operating systems is essential, as is proficiency in setting up and supporting various mobile devices. While ITIL v3 Foundation Certification would be advantageous, it's not a strict requirement. Proficiency in computer hardware, Windows 7/10, networks, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Dell/Cisco switches/routers is also expected.

  • Minimum of two years of experience in IT desktop support and end-user support
  • Diploma or degree in information technology, computer science or an IT-related field
  • Technical experience in IT system support and maintenance
  • Experience with supporting Windows and MacOS operating system
  • Proficiency in setting up and supporting mobile devices such as Apple, iPhone/iPad, Blackberry, Android and Windows phones
  • ITIL v3 Foundation Certification is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Proficient in computer hardware, Windows 7/10, networks, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Dell/Cisco switches/routers
