Our client is seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer (FX) to join their team in Singapore. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide front-line support for FX markets, deliver advanced market and technical assistance, and perform complex data analysis. The successful candidate will have a passion for problem-solving, excellent customer service skills, and a deep understanding of the FX cash aspect of support and business.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Application Support Engineer (FX), your role will be pivotal in providing front-line support to customers for traded cash FX markets. You will regularly interact with customers, delivering informational assistance via telephone and electronic means. Your ability to understand the FX cash aspect of support and business will facilitate troubleshooting for any critical trading and connectivity issue on our platform. You will also develop ad-hoc queries, perform complex data analysis, field customer enquiries, evaluate market activity, and perform investigations.

  • Develop ad-hoc queries and perform complex data analysis to create data-driven solutions
  • Field customer enquiries related to market events, connectivity, business technologies and products
  • Decide appropriate course of action when speaking with a customer
  • Evaluate and monitor market activity and order flow for efficiency and anomalous behavior
  • Perform investigations for both internal and external clients
  • Articulate challenging and complex problems and solutions to a broad range of audiences

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Application Support Engineer (FX) position will bring a wealth of experience in single bank or multi-banks eTrading platforms. You should have experience with leading industry charting/news platforms such as Bloomberg, Trading Technologies and Eikon Refinitiv. A good understanding of foreign exchange modules with emphasis on Spot FX and NDFs is essential. Your knowledge of the full trade life cycle from execution to front and back office processing will be invaluable in this role. Exposure to Kibana/Monitoring dashboards would be beneficial.

  • Bachelor's or Master's in information systems, computer science or a related field
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in single bank or multi-banks eTrading platforms
  • Experience with leading industry charting/news platforms such as Bloomberg, Trading Technologies and Eikon Refinitiv
  • Good understanding in foreign exchange modules with emphasis on Spot FX and NDFs
  • Good grasp of full trade life cycle from execution to front and back office processing
  • Exposure to Kibana/Monitoring dashboards
