About the Senior IT Infrastructure Support Analyst (eight months, extendable) Role: The Senior IT Infrastructure Support Analyst (eight months, extendable) will be responsible for the administration and support of IT infrastructure, addressing end-user issues, and assisting in maintaining the core IT environment's currency and service levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive IT support for internal infrastructure, covering desktops, servers, networks, and telephony systems
Log and track IT incidents, aiming to prevent recurrences and escalating complex issues to senior IT staff
Communicate promptly with affected business users during service disruptions or planned maintenance
Execute daily operational checks on supported systems and address identified problems
Collaborate with external support vendors for IT infrastructure and cloud solutions
Promote cybersecurity awareness and support junior team members while maintaining global consistency
To succeed in this role as a Senior IT Infrastructure Support Analyst (eight months, extendable), you should be a team player, possess initiative and a ‘can do’ attitude.
Key Requirements:
Demonstrated proactive initiative and willingness to work on shifts and be on-call beyond regular working hours
A robust technical foundation and exceptional problem-solving capabilities
Proficient in key Microsoft Stack components, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP
Familiar with fundamental networking concepts, encompassing TCP/IP and routing protocols, and knowledgeable in IT security fundamentals
Competent in AV-related technologies such as Video Conferencing, VOIP, SIP, H323, and Cisco Call Manager
Advantageous to have exposure to cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure), Office 365, and familiarity with networking technologies, specifically Cisco router/switch management and troubleshooting
Added bonus if proficient in IT security technologies, and has understanding of internet technologies (MS IIS, Bluecoat, IDP) and Checkpoint Firewalls
Advantageous to be skilled in automation using scripting languages like PowerShell, have competence in virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and knowledgeable about storage technologies (SAN, DAS, and RAID)
