About the Support Specialist - ITRS Geneos (12-month contract) Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for hosting the vendor product ITRS Geneos which is used primarily by the MAPS teams to monitor critical Markets applications for the client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and implement application monitoring requirements
• Configure, support and manage the ITRS Geneos platform in a global environment with over 1000 users
• Provide training and advice to application support teams to implement efficient and effective monitoring
• Define, encourage and/or enforce good monitoring practises across the teams
• Support a large-scale ITRS Geneos hosting platform
• Work with the vendor to resolve issues found with the product
• Implement product upgrades throughout the year
• Create new tools to support the ITRS Geneos hosting platform, including design, development testing and implementation

To succeed in this Support Specialist - ITRS Geneos (12-month contract) role, you will need to have at least two years of experience in the Geneos product.

Key Requirements:

• Experience with supporting the ITRS Geneos monitoring products running in a large corporate environment
• Excellent communication skills, methodical and a fine attention to detail
• Able to manage changes from development and UAT into production
• Strong understanding of the Linux operating system, specifically RHEL
• UNIX shell/Perl/Python scripting skills
• Experience working within a Site Reliability Engineering role and knowledge of these practices
• Good knowledge of SQL, specifically MySQL but also other database types
• Experience with ITRS Geneos dashboard design
• Able to work in a high-pressure trading environment
• Event management for applications
• Experienced in a client-facing role in technology
• Experience with trading applications support or engineering
• Experience with source control systems e.g. Bitbucket, GIT
• Java/AMPS/Kafka/Hadoop experience
• Experience configuring/supporting web servers e.g. Apache
• Experience with job scheduling tools e.g. Autosys
• Experience in configuring other industry standard event management tools (e.g. Dynatrace, Splunk, etc.)
