Senior Information Security Engineer (1-Year Contract)

A leading global organisation is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer for a 1-year contract based in Singapore. This pivotal role sits at the heart of the Business Information Security working along side Regional Information Security lead for APAC. You will be instrumental in driving cyber resilience across IT, OT, cloud, and partnership environments, enabling business growth while maintaining robust operational defences and audit readiness.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the deputy for APAC Cyber Resilience execution by supporting prioritisation of initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and delivery across the Business Information Security portfolio.
• Act as a trusted security representative within a globally distributed organisation by partnering with both business and technical stakeholders across all operating regions.
• Co-lead M&A, joint venture, and partnership cyber diligence activities including pre-close risk assessment and post-close integration planning by providing decision-grade security input to deal teams.
• Lead and support customer-facing security engagements such as questionnaires, audits, contract reviews, and escalations to ensure client confidence in organisational security posture.
• Support third-party vendor and supplier security assessments as well as breach response activities by coordinating investigation, impact analysis, stakeholder communications, and customer assurance during supplier-originated incidents.
• Evaluate and assess the security posture of target organisations including enterprise IT, cloud, network, application, and Operational Technology (OT) environments by identifying material risks and control gaps.
• Design and recommend security controls along with remediation strategies that align to identified risks and regulatory obligations.
• Integrate security tooling, automation solutions, and data sources into cyber due diligence and assurance workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Partner with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to enable secure integration of platforms and acquired assets throughout the organisation.
• Support security assessments for emerging technologies and data-driven platforms ensuring risks are appropriately identified, governed, and communicated to business stakeholders.

What You'll Need

• More than 5 years of experience in information security roles focused on cyber risk assessment, architecture review or cyber due diligence within regulated environments.
• Demonstrated expertise supporting M&A transactions including joint ventures or divestment cyber diligence activities from initial assessment through integration planning.
• Proven track record operating in advisory or consulting settings where you translate complex risk assessments into actionable outcomes for senior leaders across functions.
• Practical exposure leading customer assurance activities such as audits, questionnaires or compliance discussions while managing escalations professionally.
• Familiarity with contract security reviews coupled with an ability to translate contractual obligations into operational controls that meet regulatory requirements.
• Strong grounding in international security frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST CSF plus regulatory standards like GDPR or DORA alongside regional requirements (EU AI Act/K-ISMS/NISC/SOCI/OSPAR)
• Professional certifications such as CISSP CISM CISA ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or relevant cloud OT/security architecture credentials are desirable.
