Information Security Specialist- Defense (Contract)

Our client is seeking a dedicated Information Security Specialist to join their Identity Defense organization. This role is pivotal in protecting digital identities, which are crucial for accessing the Bank's internal network, resources, and applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, designing, engineering, implementing, and supporting solutions to prevent and detect anomalous use of accounts.

What you'll do:

• Research, design, engineer, implement, and support solutions to prevent and detect anomalous use of accounts.
• Support design efforts to build out new processes, controls, and supporting governance related to implementation of human and non-human account monitoring.
• Utilize in-depth technical knowledge and business requirements to help implement scalable solutions.
• Develop proactive measures against common and emerging threats related to account take-over.
• Partner with leaders from line of business organizations to triage security events and report on impacting security incidents.
• Collaborate with experts in and out of our team, both locally and internationally.

What you bring:

• Minimum 3 years of experience with Information Security related activities.
• At least 2 years of experience in an operations-focused information security role.
• Proven ability in conducting analysis/investigation and containment of potential data breaches or cybersecurity incidents.
• Strong ability to analyze data and evaluate relevance to a specific incident under investigation.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization, catering to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with security vulnerabilities exploits and hacker techniques.
• Experience with Splunk, including building queries, alerts, dashboards etc.
• Knowledgeable about current authentication-based exploits.
