An exciting Network Security Engineer role has become available at a world class financial institution.
In this newly created role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of advanced security infrastructure. The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise in Cisco ISE, NAC, and a wide range of security technologies. You will be a key player in ensuring robust network security across multiple regions, working closely with teams worldwide. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are critical as you will need to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders across different cultures.
Responsibilities:
- Build and optimize secure network access systems with a focus on Network Access Control (NAC) solutions
- Administer and enhance the security posture of the network by configuring, installing, and managing Cisco networking devices
- Apply expertise in firewall policies, IDS/IPS systems, and web application firewalls (WAF) to protect network assets
- Implement Cisco ISE solutions, integrating them with HPE/Aruba technologies and various third-party security tools
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex security issues, working independently and collaborating with remote teams
- Lead the development of secure network designs that meet both technical and business requirements
- Participate in global security initiatives, aligning security practices with corporate goals
To succeed in this role, you require at least 5 years of experience as a Network Security Engineer.
Core Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in network security or engineering roles
- Proficient in deploying and managing Cisco ISE, with a deep understanding of IEEE 802.1x protocols
- Strong technical skills in configuring Cisco routers, switches, and network components
- Advanced experience in security policy enforcement, especially with firewalls like Fortinet and IDS/IPS systems
- Advanced firewall engineering and security policy management skills
- Familiarity with PKI/Certificate Authority management and RADIUS/TACACS authentication systems
- Strong background in analyzing and securing network traffic
- Proficiency in Splunk 'Search' module development and code optimization
- Ability to collaborate with global teams, showing adaptability to different communication styles and cultures
- Prior experience in a banking domain will be advantageous
