Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and dependable Business Analyst (Finance) [Contract] with a focus on Finance. What you'll do:
- Interpret financial data to support business decisions.
- Elicit and document business requirements, understanding the specific data and metrics that financial stakeholders need.
- Translate reporting requirements into technical specifications for developers.
- Work closely with developers to ensure that data models and integration solutions support reporting needs.
- Map data to ensure that financial data from Databricks is correctly integrated into DataSphere.
- Involve in the testing process to validate that the developed solutions meet reporting requirements.
- Identify potential issues in financial data integration and work with developers to find effective solutions.
- Support project management tasks related to financial reporting projects.
- Understand the specific financial domain, including commodity trading and special metal physical trading.
- Manage change, preparing financial stakeholders for new systems and processes.
- Seek feedback from financial stakeholders and developers to refine processes and enhance collaboration.
- Work effectively with other business analysts to share insights, align on project goals.
What you bring:
- Solid understanding of financial principles, including key financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) and metrics used in financial and performance reporting.
- Expertise in eliciting and documenting business requirements.
- Ability to translate reporting requirements into technical specifications for developers.
- Experience in working closely with developers to ensure that data models and integration solutions support reporting needs.
- Skills in data mapping to ensure that financial data from Databricks is correctly integrated into DataSphere.
- Involvement in the testing process to validate that the developed solutions meet reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical skills to identify potential issues in financial data integration and work with developers to find effective solutions.
- Basic project management skills to help coordinate tasks related to financial reporting projects, manage timelines, and ensure that integration projects stay on track.
