M365 Engineer (Banking, 1-Year Contract)
As a Microsoft 365 Engineer based in Singapore, you will be entrusted with architecting robust collaboration platforms that underpin business operations globally. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve designing scalable solutions for Exchange Online, Teams voice/video governance, SharePoint Online integration and OneDrive for Business.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and manage the Microsoft 365 environment including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business to support enterprise collaboration.
- Develop and maintain architecture standards, runbooks, and operational procedures to ensure platform stability and scalability across global deployments.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of M365 initiatives such as tenant rollout, feature deployment, upgrades, and cloud adoption by coordinating with regional and global stakeholders.
- Drive execution across infrastructure, security, compliance teams while managing delivery timelines, risks, dependencies, and communications for successful program outcomes.
- Ensure M365 services comply with enterprise security policies and regulatory requirements by implementing data protection measures like DLP, retention policies, eDiscovery tools.
- Work closely with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to address regional regulatory requirements with a particular focus on APAC environments.
- Provide L3 engineering support by troubleshooting complex issues and defining SLAs, KPIs, service health metrics to improve operational efficiency through automation using PowerShell or scripting.
- Engage senior stakeholders, business users, technology teams by translating technical solutions into business outcomes and executive updates.
- Lead discussions with vendors such as Microsoft or partners for product enhancements and issue resolution to optimise platform capabilities.
- Evaluate new M365 features including Copilot AI capabilities; define roadmap aligned with enterprise strategy while staying current with emerging technologies.
What You'll Need
- More than 3 years' experience in Microsoft 365 within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated track record of deploying M365 services at scale including Exchange Online mail flow/security management; Teams voice/video governance; SharePoint Online & OneDrive integration.
- Deep understanding of Azure AD/Entra ID identity management systems coupled with strong knowledge of security/compliance frameworks such as DLP retention audit eDiscovery.
- Advanced scripting skills using PowerShell or similar automation tools to enhance operational efficiency across multiple platforms.
- Experience in banking and financial services would be an added advantage.
