What you'll do:
As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer, your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of our client's technological advancements. You'll be tasked with architecting, developing, and maintaining scalable solutions on both Google Cloud and on-premise Infrastructure. Your ability to work closely with cross-functional teams will be crucial in advancing research and batch computing capabilities. Your proactive approach will be key in independently investigating infrastructure/application issues on a live production system. Your proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Go will be utilised daily, along with your excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Architect, develop and maintain scalable solutions on Google Cloud and on-premise Infrastructure.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to advance research and batch computing capabilities.
- Take initiative in investigating infrastructure/application issues on a live production system independently.

The ideal candidate for the Staff Site Reliability Engineer position brings a solid background in Platform/SRE engineering. They have a good understanding of Kubernetes, encompassing both architectural design and operational management. They are proficient in GitOps principles, specifically with tools like Argo-CD and GitLab CI. They have a strong grasp of cloud infrastructure, with practical experience in either AWS or GCP. Their proficiency extends to programming languages such as Python or Go. They possess good interpersonal and collaboration skills. Prior knowledge and experience in on-premises bare metal environments would be beneficial. An understanding of security principles from both operational and implementation perspectives is also required.
