Our client is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to manage and support their comprehensive infrastructure. This includes network, server farm, IP telephony, wireless, security, cloud and special services. The role involves close collaboration with the appointed System Integrator on infrastructure planning, managed services and lifecycle management. You will also be involved in researching, reviewing and identifying technological opportunities to support the business.
What you'll do:
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and supporting the entire infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include monitoring IT infrastructure service operation, resolving issues proactively, planning and executing capacity expansion to minimize service disruption. You will also be responsible for protecting IT infrastructure from threats through provisioning of IT security measures. Furthermore, you will lead IT infrastructure related projects ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and with quality.
- Manage the whole infrastructure including network, servers, cloud services (Office 365 or AWS), security systems (firewall, IPS etc.) and special network services (DHCP, DNS etc.)
- Provide Level 2 and beyond support for IT infrastructure related incidents.
- Monitor IT infrastructure service operation and proactively resolve any issues.
- Plan and execute IT infrastructure related projects including provisioning of new infrastructure, upgrade of IT infrastructure and deployment of new services.
- Document IT infrastructure design and configuration for operational reference.
- Perform system administrative works to ensure that systems such as G-suite, Office 365 etc are kept up to date and secure.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Senior Infrastructure Engineer position is someone who enjoys getting into the technical aspects of networking and computing. You should have hands-on experience with a can-do attitude and the ability to learn quickly. Good command of English is essential as you will need to communicate clearly and concisely. A diploma or degree in an IT related discipline along with at least 5 years of working experience in IT Support is required.
- Strong technical knowledge of networking (network equipment configuration) and computing (application and database hosting.
- Providing L2/L3 support with solid knowledge in Network.
- Team player with a can-do attitude
- Good command of English with ability to communicate in clear, concise manners
- Good work ethics
- A diploma or degree in an IT related discipline
- At least 5 years of working experience in IT Support
