Desktop Support Engineer
Our client is seeking a dedicated Desktop Support Engineer to join their dynamic team in Singapore. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with the chance to enhance and develop technical skills through hands-on experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for infrastructure support and maintenance for users in the Singapore offices as well as remote regions where required.
What you'll do:
As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within our client's technology department. You will predominantly be responsible for providing top-notch infrastructure support and maintenance for users both locally and remotely. Your expertise in the standard Windows desktop environment will be invaluable, as will your experience in an Enterprise Front Office/Banking/Trading setting.
- Provide infrastructure support and maintenance for users in the Singapore offices and remote regions
- Work effectively within a standard Windows desktop environment
- Handle responsibilities in an Enterprise Front Office/Banking/Trading environment
- Demonstrate pro-activity and initiative in enhancing or developing technical skill sets
- Collaborate effectively with all interacted parties across the infrastructure stack
What you bring:
The ideal Desktop Support Engineer will bring a wealth of experience from a major financial institution, specifically in Desktop & Trade Floor support. You will have a rounded knowledge across the infrastructure stack and be comfortable working with all those you interact with.
- Experience in Desktop & Trade Floor support within a major financial institution
- Knowledge across the infrastructure stack
- Experience with Windows 10 Operating systems
- Working knowledge of SCCM/Microsoft Application Virtualisation or similar technologies
- Experience with Virtual Desktop Environments
- Familiarity with Office 2021, 2019 including custom built Excel add-in support
- Understanding of TCP/IP, Networking Technologies and desk level patching
- Experience with Market Data Applications, namely Bloomberg
- Knowledge of HP Desktop Hardware products and support
- Mobile device support experience (Blackberry UEM)
- Core Application troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Citrix Environments
