In this role, you will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and ensuring the reliability of enterprise messaging and archiving solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in messaging systems, particularly in deploying and maintaining Veritas Enterprise Vault, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that email and messaging operations are running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Enterprise Vault Management: Design, implement, and maintain the Veritas Enterprise Vault environment to support email archiving, retention, and compliance requirements
- Messaging Systems Administration: Administer and optimize Microsoft Exchange/Office 365 environments, ensuring integration with Veritas Enterprise Vault
- Compliance and Security: Ensure that all messaging and archiving processes comply with regulatory standards, security policies, and data retention requirements
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide Tier 2/3 support for messaging and archiving systems, including diagnosing and resolving complex issues in Veritas Enterprise Vault and related messaging platforms
- Performance Tuning: Continuously monitor and tune Veritas Enterprise Vault for optimal performance and capacity planning
- Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans for messaging and archiving systems
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, procedures, and support protocols
- Collaboration: Work with IT teams, business units, and external vendors to ensure smooth messaging operations and seamless system integrations
The successful candidate will require at least 5 years of experience working as a Messaging Specialist, with proficiency in Veritas Enterprise Vault.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in IT messaging systems, with a focus on email archiving solutions. Proven experience with Veritas Enterprise Vault is required
- Expertise in Veritas Enterprise Vault (installation, configuration, and maintenance)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange/Office 365 messaging environments
- Experience with email archiving, retention policies, and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with security protocols, encryption, and data loss prevention (DLP)
- Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies for messaging systems
- Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, VBScript) is a plus
- Veritas Enterprise Vault certification or related credentials will be advantageous
- Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset
