Our client, a multinational organisation, is seeking an IT Helpdesk Engineer to join their team in Singapore. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about providing high-level customer service and has a knack for problem-solving. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing IT incidents, acting as the first point of contact for internal staff regarding IT issues, and ensuring that all processes and procedures are up-to-date.

What you'll do:

As an IT Helpdesk Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our client's IT systems. You will be responsible for managing IT incidents, acting as the first point of contact for internal staff regarding any IT issues they may have. Your day-to-day tasks will include providing Level 0/1 support for all applications and infrastructure, repairing and upgrading PC hardware and software, maintaining inventory of equipment and software licences, managing logistics for school’s IT needs, researching new technologies to improve IT support processes.

  • Manage IT incidents in the incident management system
  • Act as the first point of contact for internal staff regarding IT issues
  • Provide professional and high-level customer service, escalating unresolved issues promptly
  • Provide Level 0/1 support for all applications and infrastructure
  • Repair and upgrade PC hardware and software, including scheduled maintenances
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and software licences; update computers with latest service packs, patches and applications
  • Manage the provisioning and de-provisioning process of school’s IT resources
  • Manage classroom support for IT and Audio Visual (e.g. Apple TV, Projectors, Interactive technology, and applications)
  • Manage logistics for school’s IT needs (e.g. ipads, ipad charging carts, computers, copiers, printers, projectors)
  • Research and investigate new technologies that can help improve IT support and processes

What you bring:

The ideal IT Helpdesk Engineer will bring a strong set of analytical and problem-solving skills to the role, with the ability to think creatively and apply innovative solutions. You will have a hands-on approach and the ability to learn new systems quickly. Your excellent command of English, clear verbal communication skills, and high standard of customer service will enable you to build rapport at all levels and deliver exceptional support to internal staff. Familiarity with basic network troubleshooting, Active Directory account management, and Office 365 administration is essential.
