What you'll do:

As an Application Support and DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting third-party applications across various platforms. You will be responsible for onboarding new applications while enhancing existing ones. Your role will involve monitoring software issues, improving environment stability, and working closely with internal users as well as external vendors to ensure quick restoration of services. You will also collaborate with traders, researchers, and developers to build bespoke platforms and environments. Your innovative mindset will be key in optimising processes for better productivity.

  • Support third-party applications including on-premise, AWS deployments, and SaaS
  • Onboard new applications and extend or enhance existing ones
  • Monitor and report software issues while improving environment stability
  • Work with internal users and engage external vendors to restore services quickly and fix root causes
  • Collaborate with traders, researchers, and developers to build bespoke platforms and environments
  • Innovate efficient processes to optimise time-to-market and productivity
  • Implement automated and scalable application systems, processes, and controls

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Application Support/DevOps Engineer role brings a minimum of three years' experience in similar roles. They possess sound knowledge in application support and incident management. Their skill set includes AWS provisioning through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible. They have hands-on experience implementing monitoring tools such as Grafana or Splunk. Their scripting abilities extend to languages like Python, Bash, and PowerShell.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in support/DevOps roles
  • Sound knowledge in application support and incident management
  • Experience in AWS provisioning (ECS, EKS) through IaC such as Terraform, Ansible
  • Implementation and management knowledge of monitoring tools such as Grafana, Splunk etc.
  • Scripting experience in languages like Python, Bash and PowerShell
  • Hands-on experience of troubleshooting network issues
  • Comfortable working with Linux
