An exciting Regional IT Infrastructure Manager job opportunity has become available at a global healthcare leader specialising in kidney dialysis solutions and services.
About the Regional IT Infrastructure Manager Role: The Regional IT Infrastructure Manager’s primary responsibility is to manage and tune in-house computer software systems, printers, meeting room systems, telephony, endpoint devices and network connections to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyse performance of help desk activities and documented resolutions, identify problem areas, and devise and deliver solutions to enhance quality of service and to prevent future problems
Identify, recommend, develop, and implement end user training programs to increase computer literacy and self-sufficiency
Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software
Perform and test routine system backups and restores
Systems backups and disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation
Recommend, schedule, and perform database, software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases
Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of systems software procurement and development efforts
Manage and/or provide guidance to contracted and cluster members of the team
Ensure technical alignment and standards with the global functional leads of Networks, Cloud Platforms, Digital Workplace, Infra Hosting Services, Service Desk and Field Services
Manage the processing of incoming calls to the help desk via both telephone and e-mail to ensure courteous, timely, and effective resolution of end-user issues
Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data on servers, multiple databases, and during data transfer in accordance to business needs and industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
Provide proactive system monitoring to ensure high availability and commitment to SLA’s for servers, applications and network
Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on servers. Escalate incidents as necessary
Develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for system administration and appropriate use
To succeed in this Regional IT Infrastructure Manager role, you should have prior experience managing regional IT operations, driving operational excellence to meet SLAs and governance requirements, and leveraging critical thinking and problem-solving skills to respond to non-BAU situations.
Key Requirements:
Diploma/degree in information systems, computer science, information technology operations or equivalent, with at least seven years' relevant work experience
Proficient in systems administration and server level support
Prior experience in managing technical staff
Ability and experience supporting both Microsoft Active Directory and Linux environments
Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information
Experience administrating Microsoft Office 365 is desirable (e.g. email, SharePoint, Teams and PowerApps)
Strong customer service orientation
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
Ability to conduct research into hardware and software issues and products as required
Ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language
Highly self-motivated and directed
Keen attention to detail
Skilled at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment
