About the Database Administrator (Oracle, SQL Server) Role:
The Database Administrator (Oracle, SQL Server) is responsible for doing start-of-day checks on a daily basis and fixing the issues and ensuring the database is adequately backed up and able to be recovered if needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain database design documents and ensure it is up-to-date
• Monitor system performance and identifying problems that arise
• Respond user-reported errors in a timely manner
• Demonstrate experience in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Oracle Restart on Windows platform. Must have worked on 11.x/12.x/19.x versions of Oracle and have handled database activities like Patching and other maintenance activities
• Further establish and ensure database standards (security, reliability, availability, and scalability) and procedures are met by our product teams
• Raise service requests and cases with vendors, regular updates and follow-up till closure
• Provide support during system testing, user acceptance testing, go-live situations
• Implement and manage changes by ensuring data integrity is maintained
• Ethically handle private data, including financial/customer data
• Demonstrate experience in Oracle Enterprise Management tool and other incident and problem management tools like Service Now

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience in managing database environment inclusive of Oracle, SQL Server.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• At least five to six years of experience of system/database development is needed
• Extensive knowledge and experience in database administration is needed
• Prior experience in IT system development and control, and operations in a leadership position is needed
• Expertise of analysis of banking operation, creation of banking operation procedure and planning of banking operation is an advantage
• Business-level proficiency in English as you are required to communicate, read and understand as well as respond and present to management. This includes system discussions, Q&A meetings, status update meetings and writing reports to management, etc.
