About the Head of Technology Role:
Due to excellent results and future expansion plans, the Head of Technology plays a key role in the team’s continued development and success in its new Singapore office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the technology strategy for infrastructure and applications, aligning it with the company's overall business goals and objectives
• Lead a team of technology professionals, including infrastructure engineers, system administrators, and application developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's technology infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and cloud platforms
• Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of critical applications, managing system performance, capacity, and scalability
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and prioritise technology needs, evaluate potential solutions, and make informed recommendations for infrastructure enhancements and upgrades
• Establish and enforce technology standards, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance, data integrity, and risk mitigation
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to infrastructure and applications, ensuring service levels are met and driving cost optimisation
• Stay updated with emerging technology trends, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements, and provide recommendations for technology advancements and improvements
• Lead disaster recovery planning and execution efforts, ensuring business continuity in the event of system failures or natural disasters
• Foster a culture of information security and data privacy, implementing robust controls and frameworks to protect sensitive information

To succeed in this Head of Technology role, you must have good communication skills as you will be managing global stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus
• Proven experience (at least 15 years) in technology leadership roles, with a focus on infrastructure and applications, preferably within the financial services industry
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including servers, networks, storage systems, virtualisation, and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure)
• Extensive experience in application development methodologies, software development life cycle (SDLC), and project management principles
• Demonstrated expertise in managing enterprise-level applications, including core banking systems, risk management platforms, and trading systems
• In-depth understanding of information security, data privacy, and regulatory compliance requirements in the financial services sector (e.g. PCI DSS, GDPR, SOX)
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve results
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and a track record of driving technology innovation
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP, ITIL, PMP) are highly desirable
