System Engineer (SCCM)

About the System Engineer (SCCM) Role:
In this crucial role, you will be responsible for managing patches and software deployments in multi-site SCCM 2012 R2 and higher environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, maintain and manage servers and infrastructure services
• Provide technical assistance to field service teams or other teams when required
• Provide documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions to other team members
• Identify opportunities for reducing infrastructure footprint (consolidation, virtualisation, service integration)
• Prepare capability and availability trends and reports for analysis to stakeholders
• Ensure that back-up operations are executed and completed
• Restore from back up as when required
• Support and maintain different environments (Dev, Staging, Production)
• Work directly with vendors, escalating to external support groups
• Document, test and deploy system upgrade for infrastructure and application
• Participate in design, implementation and enhancement of servers and infrastructure services set-up and configuration
• Design, implement, monitor systems and infrastructure service event logs and take remedial actions

To succeed in this System Engineer (SCCM) role, you must be able to demonstrate your technical proficiency in SCCM 2012 R2 and higher with experience in managing enterprise environments. A solid understanding of standard client/server, networking and internet fundamentals is highly advantageous.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive experience in Windows Server 2008
• Experience in Windows Server 2012 R2 and 2016
• Experience in Exchange 2016 and office 365
• Confident in use of ADDS, LDAP, GPO, DNS, DFS, ADFS, RDS, WSUS
• Basic networking knowledge
• Knowledge of MS System Centre Suite Esp, SCOM and SCCM
• Hands-on experience with virtualisation technologies VMWare, VSphere and Hyper V
• Knowledge of Backup, Restore, Media Cycle and data security
• Working knowledge of CISCO UCS Servers, A10 load balancers, Cisco ESA and WSA, Cisco CUCM
