Senior .NET Developer (Banking, 1-Year Contract)

A leading global investment bank is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to join their thriving Singapore technology hub, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of capital markets reporting software.

As a Senior .NET Developer within this dynamic technology centre in Singapore, you will immerse yourself in real-world projects that shape the future of capital markets reporting software. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve designing robust applications from concept through deployment while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are met with precision. You will take ownership of your code throughout its lifecycle—providing production support and managing releases—while championing best practices in DevOps

What You'll Do

• Design, code, test, deploy, and debug complex applications autonomously while ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability throughout the software lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, product owners, business analysts, and infrastructure teams to gather requirements and resolve incidents efficiently.
• Participate actively in code reviews by adhering to coding standards using designated code management tools such as GitHub and JIRA.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues at application, configuration, or code level with a focus on maintaining high system reliability.
• Stay current with the latest .NET technologies and best practices while maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for all solutions.
• Embrace DevOps culture by contributing to production support and release management under the 'You Build It, You Run It' model for full ownership of delivered code.
• Ensure all CI-CD artefacts are integrated into solutions for seamless deployment processes.

What You Need

• More than 5 years experience in C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API or ASP.NET Core
• At least 2 years experience in front-end development using Angular or React
• Solid understanding of relational databases such as SQL Server or MySQL plus ORM frameworks like Entity Framework for data modelling.
• Experience operating within Agile development methodologies such as JIRA Scrum or Kanban for iterative delivery cycles.
• Ability to work independently in a team setting
