Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of IT based here in Singapore, your role involves:
- Overseeing a team of 5 IT professionals and 2 remote contractors based in Malaysia, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
- Driving the entire application lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to development, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Working closely with different departments and external vendors to align application solutions with business goals.
- Maintaining and enhancing trading applications, ensuring they meet enterprise standards and business objectives.
- Overseeing incident, problem, and change management while driving process automation for efficiency and performance.
- Managing vendor relationships, including performance evaluations and contract negotiations.
- Preparing regular reports on project status and manage budgets to ensure cost-effective service delivery.
Job Requirements
As a successful candidate, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. ITIL certification is a plus.
- At least 5 years in application development, with 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Experience working in trading applications or securities, preferably in brokerage or financial services firms.
- Proficient in .NET development and SQL.
- Project management expertise, with hands-on experience in Agile, Scrum, and SDLC methodologies.
