Our client, a leading player in the Financial Services sector, is seeking an Application Development-SQL/C# to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support and enhance all internally developed applications used by the company. Working under the leadership of the Head of Systems Development, you will play a key role in ensuring that a high level of support is maintained for all internal customers
What you'll do:
As an Application Development- SQL/C#, your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality support for business-critical applications or data systems. You will develop and maintain an in-depth detailed knowledge of the applications you manage, including data structures, scheduled jobs, reports, and interfaces to other applications. You will also identify recurrent issues and conduct root cause analysis while proposing solutions to reduce recurring support tasks. Your role will involve working on IT solutions that implement business processes such as trade order management, client reporting, data warehouse, risk reporting, month end processing and regulatory reporting.
- Provide high-quality support for business-critical application(s) or data system
- Develop and maintain an in-depth detailed knowledge of the applications you manage
- Maintain know-how documentation of all the support tasks with resolution
- Identify recurrent issues and conduct root cause analysis
- Propose solutions to reduce recurring support tasks
- Work on IT solutions that implement business processes such as trade order management, client reporting, data warehouse, risk reporting, month end processing and regulatory reporting.
- Ensure that connectivity between systems and databases integrating third party data sources and systems follow agreed IT Architecture strategy
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Application Support Analyst role brings strong application support experience within a Financial Services environment. You have good SQL knowledge with experience in ETL, T- SQL, SSRS and SSIS. You are comfortable with debugging/writing complex queries, views, functions, and stored procedures. Your significant front-end application support experience in C# and WinForms sets you apart. You possess troubleshooting skills in windows services along with a good understanding of software development life cycle, project management principles, risk management skills and strong documentation and problem-solving skills. You are confident using version control tools like Team foundation Server/ Azure DevOps, Git repositories.
- Strong Application Support experience within a Financial Services environment
- Strong hands on experince in SQL scripting and C#
- Good SQL knowledge with experience in ETL, T- SQL, SSRS and SSIS
- Significant front-end application support experience in C# and WinForms.
- Troubleshooting skills in windows services
- Good understanding of software development life cycle, project management principles, risk management skills and strong documentation and problem-solving skills.
