What you'll do:
As a Rust Engineer, your primary role will be to design and develop applications for various parts of our advanced trading systems. You will utilise your expertise in Rust and Python to write robust code, continuously enhancing our systems to meet evolving trading needs. You will also ensure the smooth operation of our trading systems, providing crucial second-line support. This includes taking ownership of system performance, troubleshooting technical challenges, and actively addressing any post-deployment issues.
- Design and develop applications and components for various parts of our trading systems
- Utilise your expertise in Rust to write robust and performant code
- Use Python for various scripting and integration tasks
- Continuously enhance our systems to adapt to evolving trading needs
- Ensure the smooth operation and reliability of our trading systems
- Provide second-line support for the systems you write, taking ownership of system performance and actively addressing post-deployment issues
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Rust Engineer position will have at least 3 years of deep expertise in Rust, proficiency in Python, and experience working in low latency or high throughput environments is beneficial. You should have a good understanding of algorithms and data structures, with the ability to write clean, efficient code. Good interpersonal and collaboration skills are essential as you will be working closely with other members of the Software Development Team.
- 2 years of deep expertise in Rust (min of 5 years of overall experience)
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience in low latency or high throughput environments is beneficial but not a must
- Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures
- The ability to write clean code
- Good interpersonal and collaboration skills
