A Senior Software and Applications Manager, Incident (12 months) job has just become available at one of the global banks in Singapore.
About the Senior Software and Applications Manager, Incident (12 months) Role: The incumbent will lead the resolution of P1 and P2 Major Incidents, ensuring consistent management, coordination of incident owners, and timely communication with stakeholders. You will also oversee post-incident activities and report creation when no major incidents are ongoing.
Key Responsibilities:
Take full responsibility for handling major incidents, focusing on minimising downtime
Coordinate with support engineers and consider involving other support groups as needed
Implement a systematic process for handling Major Incidents from start to finish
Assess Incident complexity, potentially triggering crisis management, and liaise with the Crisis Manager for communication and escalation to executive management
Oversee the creation of the incident report, gathering input from all parties to ensure a high-quality final document
Organise post-incident meetings to discuss actions and suggestions for preventing future incidents or reducing resolution time, including publishing organisational incident reports with improvement recommendations
Maintain consistency in incident documentation and references across all systems
Report major incident-related KPIs and trends to senior management, while also managing procedures, documentation, and promoting best practices for major incident management internally
To succeed in this Senior Software and Applications Manager, Incident (12 months) role, you must be able to work under pressure and work simultaneously with different profiles (technical/functional, medium/top management, etc.).
Key Requirements:
At least four years of hands-on experience in infrastructure/application support
At least eight years of overall experience in IT
Proficiency in crisis management
Strong IT literacy, particularly in capital markets and corporate banking operations, encompassing knowledge of the entire application flow from front office to back office
Familiarity with monitoring tools and job scheduling is a valuable skill
Good understanding of various transversal technologies, including SAN, Unix, Windows, Network, DBA, CTRL-M, and MQ
Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and weekend on-call rotations; proficiency in French is an additional advantage
