An exciting Technical Expert - Java (12-month contract) job opportunity has just opened up at a global financial services company in Singapore.

About the Technical Expert - Java (12-month contract) Role:
In this role, you will responsible for Java/J2EE skillset to deliver the product. To take initiatives in development and enhancement of various applications with Sprint delivery capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with geographically distributed Agile Scrum teams for designing and implementing digital solutions using JAVA/J2EE technologies
• Handle development/design projects using Java, J2EE, Oracle, Angular and Tomcat
• Establishes regular code reviews tied to on-going components / projects development
• Manage a team formed for the specific project perspective to deliver projects and JIRA Enhancement release
• Work with the bank’s core architects and IT security teams to ensure policies and guidelines are adhered
• Act as a liaison between the business users/Operations and the technical team
• Work with different IT teams, and other divisions to deliver system solutions for Trade Finance
• Conduct and/or participate in the requirement gathering, solution design and formulation of an overall solution design
• Explain the rationalised propose solution and feedback changes to the development team
• In the course of implementing a solution, produce documentation
• Work closely with team manager and cross teams for technical/functional solution
• Review the technical/functional specification together with delivery teams
• Work with development team on the smooth delivery of the solution
• Conduct system testing and support on UAT
• Investigate, locate and fix problems reported

To succeed in this Technical Expert - Java (12-month contract) role, you must have experience in

Key Requirements:

• At least five years of experience in Java/J2EE, Spring framework
• Significant experience in a banking or financial services environment (preferable in trade finance) required
• Angular 5 and onwards framework
• Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
• UNIX
• DevOps skills : Tools familiarity like Bitbucket, Sonar QUBE, Jenkins etc.
• Ability to collaborate/Teamwork
• Attention to detail/rigour
• Communication skills - oral and written
• Ability to deliver/results driven
• Ability to develop and adapt a process
• Ability to understand, explain and support change
• Ability to manage/facilitate a meeting, seminar, committee, training
