Application Support (L2)

An Application Support (L2) job has become available at one of Asia’s leading independent brokerage and investment groups based in Singapore.

About the Application Support (L2) Role:
In this business critical role, you will work very closely within the IT Team, business users and various other teams for day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the smooth BAU of the MOBO applications under ownership
• Guide the junior members on best practices in production support and align to the larger DevOps model for the MOBO IT Team
• Promote best practices and encourage an open, continuous improvement culture
• Work on automation/efficiency/optimisation tasks and deliver measurable KPI’s
• Managing service requests, incident management, problem management and change management
• Manage Weekend Releases
• Participate and manage events which impacts MOBO application stack, e.g. Datacenter BCP rehearsals, market driven events SGX BCP, etc.
• Ensure KEDB and Knowledge Repository are up-to-date
• Report Monthly Governance, Audit, BAU status reporting, or market event driven reporting like of MSCI
• Work on Continuous Service Improvement initiatives

To succeed in this Application Support (L2) job, you will need the ability to work effectively with professionals in the internal matrix, have excellent communication skills, accountability and can make responsible decisions.

Key Requirements:

• Six to eight years' experience in managing multiple applications which include in-house developed or vendor based applications
• Production Support experience in an investment bank, preferably in the post trade area
• Strong hands-on experience in supporting Java based applications, SQL, Linux and CI/CD
• Strong scripting knowledge (Bash/Perl/Python) and strong common Linux commands (e.g. grep, sed)
• Strong knowledge in FIX
• Experience in IT Service Management practice like Issue communication/incident management/change management
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Capable of meeting tight deadlines and working under pressure/multitasking
• Experience in working with global team and follow-the-sun support model
• Strong sense of personal responsibility
• Good team player. Capable of working under a fast pace and dynamic environment
