Python Software Engineer

About the Python Software Engineer Role:
In this business critical role, you will be assigned to develop global core platform software providing normalised post trade view across global markets businesses in the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop software in Python and associated technologies using the Quartz platform
• Work as part of a global development team, to ensure that global tools and technologies are leveraged
• Provide specific, measurable and accurate estimates on short timescales in an intellectually challenging environment
• Take business specific requirements and implement them in a generic and flexible manner to enable reuse

To succeed in the Python Software Engineer job, you will need the ability to work effectively with professionals in the internal matrix, have excellent communication skills, leadership skills, accountability and can make responsible decisions.

Key Requirements:

• Hands-on programming skills in Python, Java or C++
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science
• Excellent problem solving/investigation abilities
• Good interpersonal skills as a team member
• Proactive in tackling technical problems
• Willingness to pick up new skills when needed
• Understanding of FICC products and trade life cycle is a plus
• Excellent verbal/written skills
• Ability to balance the need for high-quality output with the need to meet tight deadlines
• Willing to interact with global teams to drive initiatives from APAC
• Four to five years of experience in working with trading and sales
• Four to five years of hands-on experience in Python
