About the Application Analyst - Python (12-month contract) Role:
In this role, you will responsible for supporting the e-Trading Data and Analytics, Global Markets Technology team in building AI solutions and supporting Quant teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• This is a great opportunity to work in business focused solutions-based development team. It is expected that the candidate plays an active role in developing the Python-based applications that helps Quants to analyse data and visualise analytics
• Take existing production architecture and ambiguous/changing requirements into stride
• Come up with cohesive, intelligent, and logical solutions to problems, which not only meet the immediate requirements of the global business, but also provide an avenue for further extension
• Development is primarily Python based, KDB, UNIX shell scripting, and Hadoop and related technologies. Your repertoire should include knowledge of client-server/distributed technologies
• Work in the FICC horizontal technology team, helping to analyse, design, build and deploy multi-tier, high availability systems globally deployed systems
• Apply your experience in working with an agile delivery model and communicating with other developers both in EMEA and the US as part of a global team

To succeed in this Application Analyst - Python (12-month contract) role, you must have minimum four years' experience in Python, Unix, UI components.

Key Requirements:

• Ability to code and have strong Python fundamentals. You enjoy developing data analytics UI tools using variety of technologies to deliver great solutions
• Passionate about writing elegant innovative software
• Good design sense and enjoy the process of design through to delivery. Clean, supportable, testable and performant code being the goal
• Strong analytical skills and enjoy using them to triage business problems and develop solutions for complex business requirements
• Enthusiastic. Not just about data and its applications, but be committed to delivering real value to our business
• A team player with confidence and without ego as you will need to mentor junior members and peers as well as receive guidance from senior team members.
• A self-starter who enjoys working alone as much as being connected with your team
• Good communicator to fellow developers, management, and business stakeholders, whether local or remote
• Broadly skilled and can pick up new technologies and concepts and apply them to your day-to-day work. Understanding of tools like JIRA, Jenkins, Git and Ansible
