Our client is seeking a highly skilled and competent Business Intelligence (BI) Manager to play a crucial role in their team. This position offers the opportunity to provide technical guidance in the planning, design, governance and development of essential Data Architecture and workflows.
What you'll do:
As a BI Manager, you will take full ownership of ETL data pipelines, leading the development and deployment of insightful data models. You will define long-term strategies for data engineering tools, practices, and processes while ensuring data quality across various sources. Your role will involve close collaboration with business stakeholders to translate needs into well-documented solutions. With your strong knowledge of PL/SQL and Python, you will mentor other engineers while identifying opportunities for operational efficiency.
- End-to-end ownership of ETL data pipelines, from ingestion of data to consumption by business intelligence and advanced analytics teams.
- Lead the development and deployment of data models to generate insights from the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
- Define and implement long-term technical strategies for data engineering tools, practices, and processes.
- Ensure data quality and consistency across various sources with good data governance.
- Identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency, increasing business revenue and decreasing cost redundancies.
- Work closely with different business stakeholders to translate business needs and product requirements into well-documented engineering solutions.
- Strong working knowledge on PL/SQL and good knowledge of Python.
- Be a role model for mentoring & coaching other engineers, applying best practice into team/product.
- Identify and troubleshoot operational and data quality issues.
- Automate tasks and deploy production standard code.
What you bring:
The ideal BI Manager brings a wealth of experience in Microsoft Azure (SQL, Stored Procedures, ADF, Data Lake, Azure Synapse) and Databricks (Python). You have a deep understanding of data architecture and platform designs, with proven experience in data modelling, entity relationship and query analysis optimization. Your excellent communication skills allow you to liaise effectively with end users, while your analytical mindset enables you to identify and resolve issues related to data integration, data quality, and Power BI reports.
