About the Data Engineer - Business Intelligence Role:
In this business critical role, you will be responsible for assisting with LAN/WAN and helping desk administration activities, including network maintenance, technical guidance, and security in coordination with the technology infrastructure team. The overall objective is to use infrastructure technology knowledge and identified policies to process data, resolve issues and execute administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create complex project plans, perform impact analyses solve/work high impact problems/projects, and provide resolutions to restore services
• Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) post restoration of service
• Design testing approaches, complex processes, reporting streams, and create automation of repetitive tasks
• Review requirement documents, define hardware requirements and examine and update processes and procedures as necessary
• Provide technical/strategic direction and act as advisor/coach to lower level analysts
• Develop projects required for design of metrics, analytical tools, benchmarking activities and best practices
• Responsible for overall operating system applications and able to contribute to technical direction and strategic decisions
• Operate with a limited level of direct supervision and can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy
• Act as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

To succeed in the Data Engineer - Business Intelligence job, you will need the ability to work effectively with professionals in the internal matrix, has excellent communication skills, has the leadership skills, has accountability and can make responsible decisions.

Key Requirements:

• Eight years of experience in infrastructure technologies delivery with a proven track record of operational process change and improvement
• Ability to work with virtual and in-person teams, and work under pressure or to a deadline
• Experience in a financial services or large complex and/or global environment is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Experienced in Arcadia data, Hadoop Hive, Datameer, Data Robot, H2O, etc.
• High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large scale datasets/elastic search/Hadoop-based storage
• Good visualisation skills to represent data and familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Arcadia Data, PowerBI, Kibana)
• Customise analytics using R, Python, Jinja, html, etc.
• Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks through data insights
• Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and quality
• Strong knowledge of ELK stack, Grafana and other tools
• Solid experience in data analysis and reporting; banking industry experience in infrastructure domain is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment to produce actionable and visually appealing reports/dashboards for the use cases
• Knowledge of Excel and SQL
• Analytical skills and strong organisational abilities
