Regional Stroke Care Programme Lead
A leading global healthcare organisation is seeking a Regional Stroke Care Programme Lead to spearhead the transformation of stroke care across the APAC region. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to shape and execute a comprehensive, patient-centric strategy that will streamline the entire stroke care pathway, ensuring no patient is left behind and every individual receives timely, effective treatment.
What you'll do:
As Regional Stroke Care Programme Lead, you will be entrusted with overseeing the full spectrum of activities required to transform stroke care delivery across multiple countries. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with country teams to ensure seamless implementation of standardised pathways that put patients first. You will play an instrumental role in increasing treatment rates by supporting hospitals in adopting best practices while also managing budgets judiciously to maximise programme effectiveness. Regularly communicating progress to senior management will be essential as you demonstrate how your efforts translate into improved patient outcomes. By fostering cross-functional collaboration among internal teams and external partners alike, you will help create synergies that drive innovation at every stage of the patient journey—from early identification through rehabilitation. Your ability to monitor trends across regions and adapt strategies accordingly will be crucial for maintaining momentum towards ambitious targets. Ultimately, your leadership will empower multidisciplinary teams to achieve both immediate wins and long-term advancements in stroke care.
- Guide the strategic direction of the Programme Initiative across the APAC region by shaping and executing a unified approach to stroke care that ensures every potential patient is identified and treated effectively.
- Align country teams with overarching programme objectives through regular communication, joint problem-solving sessions, and shared accountability for delivering measurable improvements in stroke outcomes.
- Drive increases in thrombolysis rates by supporting countries in achieving target numbers of consulted hospitals and optimising treatment protocols throughout the region.
- Deliver clear updates on programme progress to senior management and key stakeholders, demonstrating the value of initiatives for both patients and national healthcare systems.
- Manage budgets efficiently to maintain, develop, or optimise plans while ensuring resources are allocated strategically for maximum impact.
- Facilitate cross-functional team alignment by integrating into broader regional leadership structures and ensuring their involvement in tactical discussions when appropriate.
- Monitor best practices across countries, identify trends or common challenges, and develop regional action plans or offerings that address these insights effectively.
- Represent the region in global initiatives by interfacing with corporate partners to ensure access to resources and alignment with international strategic directions.
- Build strong relationships with key external stakeholders such as international speakers, steering committee members, and strategic partners focused on continuous improvement in stroke care.
- Lead, coach, and develop a capable ANGELS team by providing clarity on goals, defining competencies, offering ongoing feedback, and creating opportunities for professional growth.
What you bring:

Your interpersonal skills will enable you to connect meaningfully with colleagues from diverse backgrounds while guiding them towards shared objectives. A track record of successful cross-functional collaboration is essential; you should feel comfortable navigating complex organisational structures while championing open dialogue between departments. Your cultural awareness will allow you to tailor interventions sensitively according to local nuances without losing sight of overarching goals. The ideal candidate brings not only technical proficiency but also a passion for nurturing talent—providing mentorship that helps others grow professionally while collectively advancing programme ambitions. Experience managing budgets responsibly alongside familiarity with compliance frameworks ensures your initiatives remain sustainable over time. Above all else, your commitment to evidence-based practice—translating data into compelling narratives—will set you apart as someone who can articulate value clearly at every level.
