An exciting Government Affairs and Market Access Manager job has just become available at a reputable medtech innovator. This role is based in Singapore and reports to the Head of Public Affairs.

About the Government Affairs and Market Access Manager Role:
The successful Government Affairs and Market Access Manager is responsible for building relations and act as the key account manager of governments and public institutions, while shaping the external environment in the region to support key business objectives within the JAPAC region, with a special focus on Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop relations with governments and other critical stakeholders in selected countries to support the business development and increase patient access to radiotherapy
• Develop knowledge base and understanding of current and potential future healthcare/oncology policy changes in emerging markets and implications for company’s business
• Continue to implement the B2G model that integrates public policy, market access, funding opportunities and wider commercial priorities into strategic GA engagement and platforms
• Take a consultancy role in cancer planning with selected countries’ governments together with company’s experts. Create a funnel of executable projects
• Represent company within/across the international political/industry communities relevant for this region
• Through government access mitigate crises such as tender issues, etc.
• Take part in Corp. GA strategy and activities as needed

To be successfully in this Government Affairs and Market Access Manager job. You must be a relationship builder with C-suite and high-level government experience and are passionate about what we and you do. You must be persistent, creative, driven and to be able to work autonomously.

Key Requirements:

• Leadership experience of strategic long-term projects at multinational company
• Proven track record to deliver on governmental projects in emerging markets by influencing external stakeholders to shape the environment supporting commercial and corporate interests
• A clear team player; strong track record in working in complex, multifunctional, multicultural and international environments, including having lived and worked outside of home country
• An excellent communicator; evidence of strong independence and innovative seeker of strategic solutions; a strongly conceptual thinker
• forward looking Bachelor/University Degree/MBA or similar, preferably public health, business and admin, political affairs
• Excellent communication skills in English; oral, written and presentation
• Be based in the region and ready to travel frequently

Desirable requirements:

• Experience from, or being able to quickly develop a competency, in Public Health/oncology strategy (including national cancer plans)
• Knowledge of and experience from financing models/PPP, health economics
• Ability to communicate in multiple relevant languages in the region
• Working experience in medical device or pharmaceuticals industry
