About the Legal Secretary (Six-Month Contract) Role:
Your main responsibility will be to provide efficient and effective secretarial and administrative support to the office.
Manage a wide range of administrative, document production, organizational, research, and client support and contact duties.
Create, format, revise, edit, and proofread legal documents.
Maintain attorneys' calendars, plan and schedule meetings, teleconferences, and travel.
Collaborate closely with attorneys and the conflicts department to handle new client intake.
Update and track attorney time in the system.
Organize and maintain paper and electronic filing in accordance with firm procedures and standards.
Carry out receptionist and office duties, including greeting clients and guests, answering phones, scheduling conference rooms, setting up conference rooms, managing office supplies, and handling mail.
Participate in ad-hoc duties assigned by the manager.
Qualified bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a law firm.
Have experience with iManage/Filesite or other document management systems (preferred).
Possess strong communication, interpersonal skills, and stakeholder management abilities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment while multitasking.
Demonstrate commitment to safeguarding confidential and sensitive data while making prudent decisions.
Have an excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
