What you'll do:

As a Research Planning Executive based in East Singapore, you will immerse yourself in a dynamic environment where your expertise in data extraction, management, and analysis will directly influence strategic decision-making. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to generate insightful reports that guide sales management while developing innovative approaches for leveraging data assets. You will be responsible for evaluating external market intelligence, identifying emerging trends within key markets, and supporting commercial planning efforts through rigorous analysis. By establishing efficient database infrastructures and leading external lead generation initiatives, you will ensure that the organisation remains at the forefront of industry developments. Your ability to interpret complex datasets—ranging from customer satisfaction metrics to competitor benchmarking—will empower you to recommend actionable solutions that drive both immediate results and sustainable long-term growth.   • Collaborate closely with the Research, Planning & Product Manager to deliver detailed revenue and productivity reports that inform business decisions.
  • Evaluate external market reports for their relevance and accuracy, ensuring that data sampling methodologies align with organisational objectives.
  • Leverage external data sources to develop insightful marketing intelligence materials that support commercial strategies.
  • Utilise Market Reaction Monitor data—including competitor and customer satisfaction research—to identify new business opportunities in customer segmentation and product development.
  • Lead country-level external lead generation activities, including budget oversight and management of third-party suppliers.
  • Establish robust database infrastructure systems to efficiently organise large volumes of revenue and productivity data for effective data monetisation.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of economic trends, key markets, and the air express/air cargo sector to provide actionable insights for business growth.
  • Assess the company’s competitive position by examining customer and market segmentation data, drawing conclusions about both short-term performance and long-term growth potential.
  • Monitor monthly product and customer segment trends, investigate anomalies in the data, and recommend appropriate courses of action to management.
  • Support preparations for sales reviews and target-setting exercises by providing accurate information and analytical insights.
  • Maintain comprehensive sales information databases, ensuring seamless integration between internal systems for timely extraction of relevant data as required.
  • Analyse regular reports to highlight areas of opportunity or concern for management attention, supporting proactive decision-making across the business.
  • Assist the Commercial Planning & Research team on various commercial projects while taking on additional responsibilities as assigned by senior leadership.
