Our client is a globally recognised consumer packaged goods company with a rich history. They are seeking an experienced APAC Sales Director to join their Global Markets Group within the International Division. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and execute regional channel strategies, lead high-performance sales teams, and drive revenue growth in existing and new markets.

What you'll do:

As an APAC Sales Director, your primary role will be to spearhead the development and execution of regional channel strategies that align with our client's global sales objectives. You will be entrusted with leading a high-performance sales team, partnering with distributors to expand customer base and drive revenue growth. Your responsibilities will also include identifying market opportunities, developing new businesses, and managing all aspects of Region P&L. This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners.

  • Develop and execute a regional channel strategy that aligns with global sales objectives.
  • Lead and manage a high-performance sales team to partner with Distributors to drive revenue growth.
  • Utilise an analytical approach to develop solutions for overcoming in-market challenges.
  • Seek out market opportunities with the latest market trends, channel development and competitive activities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand consumer needs and align global brand strategy.
  • Manage all aspects of Region P&L including the trade marketing investment.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the APAC Sales Director position brings a wealth of experience in Sales, Marketing & Account Management within the FMCG/CPG sector. With at least 10 years of experience under your belt, you possess excellent communication and presentation skills, coupled with a proven track record of developing new businesses and territories. Your multichannel experience includes e-commerce platforms and warehouse clubs like Costco. Fluency in English is essential for this role, while proficiency in an additional Asian language would be advantageous.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 10+ years in Sales, Marketing & Account Management experience in the FMCG/ CPG sector.
  • Multichannel experience including e-comm, warehouse clubs such as Costco.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to develop new business and territories.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English. Additional Asian language experience is a plus.
