About the Commercial Director role:
In support of the global sales activities for a newly-launched cloud-based application, you will be tasked to focus on positioning and selling it and related services to the Asia Pacific e-commerce, cloud provider and large enterprise markets. The company is looking for an individual with demonstrable success in software sales expertise.
- Develop direct sales leads in the e-commerce, cloud provider and large enterprise markets
- Provide consultative and discovery selling by positioning software solutions, internet access, SD WAN and cloud access
- Understand and articulate the companies' cloud optimisation vision, strategy and internet approach
- Demonstrate a clear awareness of the specific market pressures, trends and transitions
- Succeed through working closely with a team of pre-sales engineers and technical leaders
- Up-sell the entire company’s product portfolio to new and existing customers
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in Salesforce or other applicable systems to enable activity and funnel reporting and measurement
To succeed in this Commercial Director role, you should be proficient in English and demonstrate success in achieving and exceeding sales and financial targets.
- Experienced (5 to 10 years) software seller/MSP/WAN Solutions Vendor with a proven track record of driving sales recurring revenue software products and services
- Minimum BA degree in a business or engineering discipline or equivalent
- English proficiency is a must
- Market knowledge of and experience in internet-based WAN and public cloud applications
- Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales and financial goals
- Experience with e-commerce, cloud applications providers and large enterprise
- Customer focused and strong communication skills
- A focus on continuous learning
- Expert in developing and cultivating productive customer relationships up to C-level
- In-depth knowledge of competition and ability to apply competing successful strategies
- Proactive, excellent team player and very customer focused
- Willingness to travel regularly
- Hands-on, not afraid to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes, including quote generation, RFP responses, etc.
- Supportive and fun
- Key competencies for the job: self-starter, motivator (of others), presentation skills, team player, commercial sense, communication
