What you’ll be doing:
Responsible for designing innovative, bespoke, and robust solutions for both prospective and existing clients. The Solutions Architect reports into the Head of Solutions and will work in partnership with a number of internal stakeholders to:
- Design and agree solutions for all opportunities originated by the Sales team.
- Direct the delivery of bids and proposals from a sales perspective, ensuring all aspects of the proposal reflect and promote the solution effectively
- Lead the sales-to-implementation handover and provide expertise and support on all elements of the solution sold from the award of preferred bidder to go-live
- Ensure the integrity and durability of our solutions by attending review meetings for new clients, and working with operational leadership to design new services that meet the client’s changing needs
- Promote Resource Solutions as a market-leading RPO provider by translating innovative concepts into operational reality through solution design
Responsibilities:
New Business Development
- Working in partnership with sales lead to gain a full understanding of the client's key drivers and requirements in order to establish and articulate the value proposition which will inform all elements of the solution
- Reviewing all client documentation / data released as part of a tender, gather market intelligence on the client and prepare detailed opportunity overview document
- Lead solution design whiteboarding sessions to define client tailored solutions. Engage internal stakeholders and manage their input in development of solution and value proposition.
- Responsible for designing best in class fully-tailored solutions (account team structure, sourcing mix, service levels, technology, defined processes, and service scope)
- Ongoing engagement with the commercial team to ensure the commercial viability of the proposed model
- Working in partnership with the Bids/Sales Team to ensure that all elements of the proposal reflect and promote the agreed solution by: identifying RFI/RFP questions that require Solutions input and holding mini-whiteboarding sessions/briefings as required to structure an effective response which is then written by the Bids team, acting as a go-to individual for queries and clarifications in supporting the Bid Team
- Ownership and delivery of client workshops as an expert in RPO and MSP solutions to shape the operating model.
- Assisting Sales through attendance at client meetings and presentations throughout the sales process
- Manage senior (including board level) internal stakeholders and challenge thinking to ensure market-leading/winning solutions are created
- Engaging and negotiating with third-party vendors (eg ATS, CRM, VMS providers) to scope and select their involvement as part of the solution development process.
- Work to flex and adapt the solution in collaboration with sales lead, commercial team, and operational stakeholders as part of ongoing negotiation with clients throughout the tender process
Sales-to-implementation:
- Prepare all documentation and lead implementation handover sessions, including documenting all pertinent aspects of the solution sold, and any outstanding / unresolved issues.
- Act as ongoing point of contact for the implementation team and aligned project manager on all questions related to the proposal / solution sold
- Maintain continuity of communications with key client stakeholders throughout implementation
Product development and innovation:
- Working with the Innovation team and other stakeholders tasked with driving innovation to ensure that outputs are reflected in solution design and bid submissions
- Design and packaging of new solutions to ensure market-leading offering is maintained
- Conducting ongoing competitor/market intelligence to identify ways of sharing this information with internal and external audiences
- Own and participate in working groups around key pieces of innovation as a sales/solutions SME
Attributes & Skills
- Good understanding of the RPO/MSP outsourcing industry
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Good excel skills, able to manipulate and interpret data
- Adaptable communication style, able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
- Confident presenter who is able to clearly articulate design thinking principles and solution benefits
- Sound understanding of resourcing technologies, emerging markets and current influences impacting the world of work
- An innovative thinker, able to challenge the status quo
- Experience in solution design, recruitment operations, service optimisation or project management
- Commercial mindset.
