A leading global supplier in the industrial packaging sector is seeking a Sales Manager to join their Singapore team. This role offers you the opportunity to work within a supportive and inclusive environment, where your interpersonal skills and commitment to customer satisfaction will be highly valued. You will be part of a network that spans over 35 countries, providing you with exposure to international best practices and the chance to collaborate with knowledgeable colleagues across multiple functions. The organisation is committed to nurturing your growth through comprehensive training opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and generous pension contributions, ensuring you can thrive both professionally and personally. If you are passionate about connecting with customers, sharing value propositions, and contributing to communal success, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

What you'll do:

As a Sales Manager based in Singapore, you will play a pivotal role in building lasting relationships with customers while ensuring their satisfaction through attentive account management. Your day-to-day activities will involve partnering with various functional teams such as production, customer service, accounts receivable, and logistics to provide seamless support. You will be responsible for creating detailed price quotes, delivering impactful presentations both internally and externally, updating sales documentation meticulously, and maintaining close ties with plants servicing your territory. By soliciting requests for quotes and executing re-pricing actions when needed, you will contribute directly to the organisation’s communal success. Your ability to connect empathetically with customers and colleagues alike will be key in fostering trust and loyalty throughout the network.

  • Communicate regularly with existing customers and manage accounts to ensure their satisfaction by responding promptly to their needs and concerns.
  • Develop and present compelling value propositions tailored to each customer’s requirements in order to maintain existing business relationships.
  • Partner closely with colleagues from production, customer service, accounts receivable, and logistics departments to deliver exceptional customer service at every touchpoint.
  • Assist sales managers and directors in achieving sales targets by sharing insights and supporting communal goals.
  • Create detailed price quotes that reflect both customer expectations and organisational standards while maintaining accuracy in all documentation.
  • Deliver engaging presentations to internal teams as well as external customers, showcasing samples and prototypes that highlight product benefits.
  • Complete and update all sales-related paperwork and reporting systems efficiently to ensure transparency and accountability within the team.
  • Maintain strong relationships with plants servicing customers in your assigned territory or product area by fostering open communication channels.
  • Solicit requests for quotes when appropriate, demonstrating responsiveness to new business opportunities.
  • Execute re-pricing actions for underperforming accounts when necessary by collaborating with relevant stakeholders.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Sales Manager position will bring a wealth of experience gained from previous roles within industrial sales or related fields. Your educational background combined with hands-on expertise equips you to handle complex account management tasks while nurturing positive connections across teams. You possess refined communication skills—both written and verbal—that enable you to share information openly and honestly. Your interpersonal strengths shine through when collaborating on shared objectives or supporting colleagues from production, customer service, accounts receivable, or logistics. With meticulous attention to detail in planning and documentation processes, you ensure transparency at every stage. Analytical thinking paired with empathy allows you to address challenges thoughtfully while maintaining harmonious relationships. Your willingness to travel demonstrates commitment without sacrificing reliability.

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree coupled with four to eight years of proven experience in sales roles within industrial sectors or similar environments.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills that enable you to convey information clearly across diverse audiences.
  • Showcase outstanding interpersonal abilities that foster collaboration among colleagues from different departments.
  • Exhibit strong time management and planning skills which allow you to balance multiple priorities effectively.
  • Apply analytical thinking alongside problem-solving capabilities when addressing customer needs or resolving account issues.
  • Display confidence in performing cold calls as well as following up on leads in a polite yet persistent manner.
  • Utilise negotiation skills sensitively during pricing discussions or contract renewals without compromising relationships.
  • Be willing to travel occasionally as required by business demands while maintaining dependability throughout assignments.
