This is an exceptional opportunity for you to bring your expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, innovative technology application, and environmental stewardship to a respected company that values proven success and continuous improvement. The role offers the chance to shape strategic direction, drive operational excellence, and foster meaningful relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You will be empowered to implement forward-thinking solutions that enhance productivity, support long-term sustainability goals, and ensure the highest standards of service delivery. With a supportive team environment and a commitment to professional growth, this position provides the platform for you to make a significant impact while enjoying flexible working opportunities and access to ongoing training.
As Managing Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the organisation’s facilities management operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve leading cross-functional teams in delivering seamless services across multiple sites while ensuring alignment with long-term sustainability goals. You will be instrumental in developing infrastructure plans that support both current needs and future growth. By leveraging your deep understanding of mechanical and electrical systems as well as your passion for innovative technology application, you will drive process improvements that enhance productivity throughout the organisation. Your ability to engage with stakeholders—ranging from internal staff to external partners—will be crucial in building collaborative networks that underpin successful project delivery. In addition to overseeing budgetary planning and resource allocation, you will champion initiatives that promote energy efficiency and environmental stewardship. Your leadership will ensure the organisation remains at the forefront of industry best practices while continuously striving for operational excellence.
- Oversee the full spectrum of facilities operations, including maintenance, engineering services, and asset enhancement projects to ensure optimal performance across all sites.
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for infrastructure planning, space management, and project development that align with organisational vision and sustainability targets.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in reviewing operational procedures, updating energy management policies, and driving continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making.
- Manage consultants, specialist vendors, and contractors by establishing robust performance management systems that guarantee quality service delivery within set timelines and budgets.
- Monitor emerging technologies in energy conservation and environmental management, providing regular reports on performance metrics while implementing measures to meet or exceed sustainability benchmarks.
- Ensure reliable operation of mission-critical facilities such as data centres by spearheading improvement projects that maintain accreditation standards and support future developments.
- Drive energy reduction initiatives aimed at achieving Super Low Energy (SLE) standards across all buildings while maintaining compliance with national regulations.
- Engage with industry stakeholders to secure awards recognising sustainability achievements and foster partnerships that advance innovation within the sector.
- Provide technical guidance for campus development projects, space optimisation efforts, and renovation works to deliver efficient solutions that support teaching, learning, or research activities.
- Plan and manage budgets effectively to ensure high-quality execution of projects within allocated resources while identifying cost optimisation opportunities.
What you bring:

You should possess strong interpersonal skills that enable you to build trust-based relationships with colleagues at all levels as well as external partners. Familiarity with Singapore’s regulatory landscape is essential given the need for compliance across various domains including fire safety and water efficiency. Your approach should reflect a commitment to continuous learning; whether through formal education or professional development courses such as EnMS Auditor training or reliability engineering certification. Above all else, your dependability combined with a nurturing leadership style will help cultivate an inclusive culture where every team member feels valued.
- Extensive experience in facilities management encompassing both mechanical and electrical systems within large-scale or complex environments.
- Proven track record in project management including planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of multi-disciplinary projects on time and within budget.

- Demonstrated expertise in energy efficiency programmes such as Guaranteed Energy Savings Performance (GESP) contracting models or similar initiatives.
- Comprehensive knowledge of environmental management frameworks including Green Mark certification processes or equivalent standards.
- Experience managing integrated facilities services such as cleaning, waste management, pest control or related functions across diverse settings.
- Ability to develop effective stakeholder relationships through clear communication, empathy, collaboration, and shared goal-setting.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements relevant to fire safety management, water efficiency management or other compliance areas within Singapore’s context.
- Competence in budget planning, financial tracking, cost optimisation strategies as well as contract negotiation with vendors or service providers.
