What you'll do:

As a Channel Lead for Modern Trade, your primary responsibility will be formulating strategies that maximise market penetration and revenue growth. You will be building strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders within the channel. Your role will involve translating strategic plans into actionable steps, overseeing promotional activities, sales initiatives, and operational processes. You will also monitor sales performance, analyse data to identify trends, and make informed decisions that drive improvements. Collaborating with internal teams such as marketing, other sales channels, supply chain, and finance will be crucial in aligning channel strategies with overall business objectives.

  • Formulate and implement strategies for channel responsible to maximize market penetration and revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders within the channel.
  • Translate strategic plans into actionable execution steps.
  • Monitor sales performance for channel responsible, analyze data to identify trends.
  • Work closely with marketing, other sales channels, supply chain and finance teams.
  • Manage budgets related to channel activities.
  • Provide training and support to internal sales teams.
  • Conduct market research to understand competitive landscape and customer needs.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Channel Lead position brings extensive knowledge in category product and channel management within the FMCG industry. With over 8 years of commercial experience demonstrated by channel or distributor management roles, you have honed your skills in business planning & implementation. Your background in sales, marketing, trade marketing or commercial functions equips you with the necessary expertise to excel in this role. A keen understanding of financial implications is essential for this position.

  • Category product and channel management knowledge within the FMCG industry.
  • 8+ years commercial experience as demonstrated by channel or distributor management experience.
  • Business experience within sales, marketing, trade marketing or commercial functions.
  • Demonstrated business planning & implementation skills (Project Management).
  • Financial implication awareness (P&L statement, supply chain reports etc).
