What you'll do:

As Business Development Director based in Singapore, you will immerse yourself in the world of financial technology by connecting with senior executives from private banks, wealth managers, and consumer banking entities throughout Southeast Asia. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve nurturing relationships with key decision-makers, developing collaborative partnerships that yield mutually beneficial outcomes, and navigating intricate sales cycles from initial contact through contract negotiation.

  • Cultivate, enrich, and capitalise on relationships with key executive decision-makers across the wealth management sector by engaging in meaningful dialogue and understanding their unique needs.
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with potential clients to foster mutually beneficial outcomes that support both organisational goals and client aspirations.
  • Navigate complex sales cycles from lead generation through contract negotiation and post-sale engagement, ensuring exceptional standards are maintained throughout every interaction.
  • Design and implement effective sales strategies aimed at expanding the platform’s presence within major financial institutions across Southeast Asia.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across all departments to drive initiatives forward, ensuring alignment between business development efforts and broader organisational objectives.
  • Identify and nurture new opportunities with partners by leveraging insights into customer motivations, product interests, and emerging market trends.
  • Utilise customer insights to deliver compelling presentations that highlight the value proposition of the platform’s integrated solutions.
  • Play a pivotal role in shaping the ongoing development of the business roadmap by providing relevant feedback and actionable insights to the executive team.
  • Maximise opportunities within the existing client network while proactively pursuing new business development avenues through consultative engagement.
  • Maintain a commitment to excellence in delivery by consistently surpassing revenue targets and upholding high standards of professionalism.

What you bring:

  • 7-10+ years of experience in the financial industry with proven success selling wealth management or risk management technology solutions to financial institutions.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience leading strategic consultative sales efforts targeting enterprise clients within the wealth management sector.
  • Established relationships with senior managers across private banking, wealth management, or consumer banking entities in Southeast Asia.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently surpassing revenue targets through diligent relationship building and commercial acumen.
  • Proficient negotiation skills capable of enhancing client relationships while focusing on achieving positive commercial outcomes for all parties involved.
  • Organised approach combined with diligence and dedication to achieving excellence in every aspect of business development activities.
  • Ability to thrive within a team-oriented environment where collaboration is paramount to success.
  • Deep domain knowledge of investment management platforms including risk analytics, portfolio management tools, trading processes, and operational scalability.
  • Commitment to fostering mutually beneficial partnerships through empathetic communication and consultative engagement.
  • Experience delivering compelling client presentations based on customer insights, motivations, and product interests.
