This pivotal role offers you the chance to work closely with senior partners and the Head of Business Development, Marketing and Communications, driving revenue-focused priorities and supporting the growth of key Practice Groups.

  • Work directly with senior leadership to shape and execute business development strategies that drive practice group growth and client engagement across Singapore and Southeast Asia.
  • Enjoy a highly collaborative environment where your expertise in marketing, client relationship management, and strategic planning will be valued and developed through ongoing cross-functional teamwork.
  • Benefit from a culture that values diversity, encourages knowledge sharing, and supports your professional development through exposure to complex, high-profile projects.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with partners to identify new business opportunities, support cross-selling initiatives, and pursue mandates that contribute to the profitable growth of practice groups within Singapore and beyond.
  • Develop tailored business development plans for individual partners, track progress towards established goals, and provide regular updates on key metrics to ensure alignment with overall firm objectives.
  • Lead the preparation of high-quality pitches and proposals for both local and cross-border opportunities, ensuring consistency in messaging while working closely with pitch specialists and other stakeholders.
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of business development materials, including thought leadership content, event collateral, sponsorship proposals, membership applications, and other profile-raising activities.
  • Coordinate submissions for legal directories by liaising with internal teams and external consultants to ensure timely delivery of accurate information that enhances the firm's reputation.
  • Support client management initiatives by engaging with priority clients in Singapore and Southeast Asia, facilitating client reviews, gathering feedback, and implementing strategies to strengthen relationships.
  • Monitor market trends and emerging issues relevant to clients; translate these insights into actionable recommendations that inform practice group strategy and business planning.
  • Work collaboratively with communications professionals to develop campaigns that enhance the visibility of practice groups through various channels both internally and externally.
  • Leverage data analytics tools in partnership with the analytics team to foster a data-driven mindset within the office; use insights to inform decision-making processes.
  • Partner with Knowledge Management, Research, Pricing, and other specialist teams to deliver research outputs that support business development efforts.

What you bring:

  • A proven record of successfully managing client relationships—delivering measurable improvements in revenue generation as well as tracking performance against agreed metrics.
  • Previous leadership experience is preferred; ideally you have managed teams or led projects involving multiple stakeholders across different offices or countries.
  • Exceptional written and spoken English communication skills are essential; you should be comfortable drafting persuasive content for pitches as well as providing clear advice to senior colleagues.
  • Ability to operate effectively within matrix management structures—fostering collaboration between colleagues from diverse backgrounds while promoting shared goals.
  • A calm yet credible approach when working under pressure; you should be adept at juggling multiple concurrent projects without compromising quality or deadlines.
  • A genuine appreciation for cultural diversity coupled with sensitivity towards social or academic differences found within global organisations.
